#1 FRONT UPPER BALL JOINT KITS
Anyone out there changed there upper wishbone ball joint recently. They seem to vary in price from £15 each including postage (e bay) to around £40 each (SC parts), is there any difference in quality or are these kits all made by one manufacturer ?

I did mine recently
With kits from SNG
You need to be very carefull as to the sockets in the wishbones not being damaged or gone oval
Its not easy to see if they are damaged without carefully measuring them
I did both of mine despite measuring them and carefully setting them up with the shims, both ended up with play no matter what I did
I gave it up and just replaced both with sealed units
Expensive but job done

How much did it cost Robbie?
Was it a cheaper way than buying the SNG ones?

Joe....better to give Angus a call for a quote (although yours are now done)......rather than haveing his prices put on the forum....he may have given Robbie " mates rates".....Steve

Ahh ok
Was just curious as the SNG ones were quite a lot of money and I am wondering now if I should have got mine modified instead

Guys, we don't do this any more - we had a lot of problems when we *think* the supplier changed the material of the nylon insert. This caused them to squeak. I would dearly love a solution but until we can be confident, I have had to suspend this service.
