Hi, does anyone have a recommendation for removing the original glue that held the headlining to the roof?
I've tried a couple of spray on removers and even cellulose thinners but it doesn't want to come off the roof

Hi Steve...the only thing that worked for me to remove old glue was petrol on a rag to soften it and rub it off....it does work but needs lots of effort....however.....lots of ventilation and outside only.....petrol fumes are very dangerous.....im NOT recommending you try it.....Steve

I've successfully removed glue residue using gun cleaner thinners. As per Steve, I don't recommend doing this in an enclosed space.
You could try sticky stuff remover, which has proved effective on removing labels and stickers.
