Add Image button gone?

Hi All,

What's happened to the add image button in the editor? I can't find id on iPhone, iPad, Chrome app, or Edge on PC?

Simon - it only comes up on the "post a reply" screen . I have it on this draft message but it will not appear on the posted message

Hi,
I know it’s only on the post a reply page. I’ve used it many times. However, it’s not there now. I had to create a post image account which I didn’t want to do. I’m looking at the post a reply page now as I draft this (obviously). However, definitely no add image button. I won’t be using post image or Amy other hosting site again as I have an aversion to that sort of thing, sorry but that’s the way I am. So, probably won’t post images again unless it’s fixed.

Like I say, does not appear at all on several devices and operating systems/apps.

Like the other replies i also have the "add image" option at the bottom of the screen as im replying now.....are you assumeing its a forum problem.....Steve

Yes. Since there are several devices with the same problem. Also I had issues with it some weeks back, but that time, changing from the PC I was using to an oPad worked. Not this time and it’s still not there.

Please post a photo showing where it should be, just in case I am missing something. But I don’t think I am.

I have the Add image to post button when I use Chrome on Windows 10 but I don't get it when using Android on my phone.

That’s how it started for me, except in reverse and substitute IPhone for Android. Now nothing has it. I’ll try another pc when I have access tomorrow.

I have had this several times on various devices/browsers. The only solution was to use http://forum.etypes.com instead of https://forum.etypeuk.com.

Typo! - you missed out the 'UK' in those addresses 'forum.etypeuk.com'

Nothing changed on this side to cause postimage logo to go away. I rarely use it as I find IMGUR a lot easier to use and to manage photos. It is free to sign up.

If it is spreading across several devices it could be your Google account syncing them all but it is odd they can get rid of an image in the editor screen.

OK, so on a different PC, it is there, this is a shot taken a moment ago:

I still haven't sorted the iPad, iPhone and my personal PC. Oh yes, this PC (the one that works) is a PC with Windows 10 and I'm using the old fashioned Internet Explorer - I'll try Chrome and Edge later. One thing I do know is that it's not my Google account blocking things because I don't have one.

Now using Edge, using the same PC I just successfully uploaded photos with the add image button with Internet Explorer.

Guess what; no Add Image Button!

So it's related to the browser I guess. On the other PC, I don't have the old Internet Explorer. I'll try Chrome on this PC now...

OK, dropping the " from "https" allows me to post am image, although that then says it's not a secure site...

Funnily enough, the Internet explorer browser I am using now allows the button to stay up, even using https, which I'm doing right now.

If, before you attempt to post, you click on preview instead of submit, then you'll find the option to add an image (via an attachment directly) to your post is still available that way.
