I am replacing the cracked and damaged vinyl/foam dashtop (1965 S1 OTS) with a remade vinyl/foam part from SNG Barratt.
Having stripped the foam from the steel dashtop panel, I find that the 5 plastic demister ducts seem to have been moulded in place!
The ducts must have been inserted into their slots from underneath, before having a flange "formed" on the top to be clamped in place by the slim exit grills on top of the finished covered dash.
My questions are:-
Can the 5 ducts be removed and reused ? if so how?
Are replacement ducts available?
Do the original ducts have to stay in place whilst fiting the replacement vinyl/foam top?
I hope someone knows of a way round this problem.

The ducts should be flexible enough so they can carefully be eased out of their slots in the metal dash and re-fit them prior to bonding the new vinyl top.

I sent my complete dash top to BAS for re-trimming.
It wasn't expensive & came back perfect & ready to refit
