Triplex decal

Hi all,

I recently purchased an identity kit from SNGB. It contains a sticker TRIPLEX LAMINATED, where does it go, is this relevant to a 3.8?

It was used on the S3's AFAIK and positioned bottom centre of the screen.

Please post a photo of the Triplex decal...there were several varieties.

Like many here, I always thought Triplex decals were only used on S3 cars, but a video on YouTube proved me wrong. A dealer (LBI Ltd.) was showing an original, unmolested ‘65 OTS and he focused in on the remnants of a small Triplex decal at the base of the windshield:



So, apparently, small Triplex decals were used on Series 1 cars, at least according to the video.

Maybe some of the originality experts here can chime in and explain exactly which Triplex decals were used on which series cars?
