i am converting a series 2 plus 2 from Lhd to Rhd when i come to for the top part of the steering column the universal joint inside the car is catching on the bulkhead any ideas thanks

Did your car have PAS originally? If so, the lower steering column needs changing for one that is 34 1/2 inches long.

Yes it is common to have clearance issues there.

You may have to do a little judicious panel beating to fix the problem.
