#1 E-Type Awards

Post by Antoun » Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:47 pm

We all know how the E-Type is recognized as a legend, but I haven't found any topic listing (if possible) the different awards won by the E-Type.

I only know a few of them, so if you want to complete this list, it will be great !

For Heuer : maybe a topic like this can go there: http://www.etypeuk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16

Of course, you must present it in a better way !!!

I also know that the E-Type also won the award for the most beautiful car of the 20th century by Car, but I haven't found the article...[/url]

also...( for 1961 ) fastest production car.

quote.

making the car a genuine 150mph proposition and, like its XK120 predecessor, the fastest production car in the world.

i wonder how long it held this record, and which car eventually took the title?

I think the record was beaten by the 250 GTO in 1962

The GTO was not a 'production' car which I think is defined as having more than 1,000 copies built a year.

Thank Heuer, I have learned something today

So the GTO is more a road car I think. In that case, I don't know which production car beat the E-Type... :?
