Welcome to the best place for all things E Type. Do you have a name? Please add it to the signature area, it’s much nicer to address you correctly.
As for cracked manifold enamel, it is a common problem. Read this topic and it will help explain some things people try:

A well known journalist said that if the enamel hadn’t cracked then you weren’t driving the car hard enough!

Phil, have you contacted SNG Barratts as you would have seen they have new manifolds if you’ve read the topic I linked to?

SNGB also ffer the cast manifolds in bare metal so you can treat them with BBQ paint. This lasts a long time and is easy to reapply and touch up when necessary. The porcelain finish crazes and cracks with rapid temperature changes caused by enthusiastic driving or when rain water hits them. Brake in the rain and water rushes dwn the screen and bonnet iunto the louvres and on to the hot manifolds.
