Thanks for the link, great but they are all out of stock. I'll keep checking back to see when they are back in stock.

Dave if you have the budget , THE MICHELIN XWX transforms the car to at least the 1990s!
IMHO and doing thousands and thousands of miles a year.
They are 400 a tire but .........
Pirellis are good but not great in cold and seem to flat spot till warmedup.

Thanks for the info, I doubt if I drive even 500 miles a year so money wasted and certainly don't take it out in the cold

The Blockleys are well priced and drive very well. Even compared to XWXs.

205/65 profile mean you have smaller radius tyres and you need higher rpm for the same speed.
Only 4% smaller, within the wear range of 185's. Very little difference at normal road speeds.

Until I read this post, I was going to ask about tyre's for an S1 ... Now my head is mashed ha ha! Lots more research and considerations to do.

The only remotely suitable tyres I could find in South Africa were V rated Dunlop 205/65's by Sumitomo. I had slight fouling of the bump stops & brakets on full drop. Solved by shaving the bottom sharp corner off the brackets. Also sliced the bump stops in half & turned them inside out to angle slightly inwards. Don't know if they'll miss the hub carrier on full bump though.
