Front Hubs

Morning all
Just overhauling the front hubs. Should the front face of the hub where the disc attaches be black? I have just stripped off (or more like rubbed off!) a peeling, thin layer of black that was there. If it should be black would it be best to use heat resistant or won’t the transfer from the discs be enough to warrant it?

The hubs are plated. No paint.

I’m talking about the section where the disc bolts- you can see in the pic the one I hadn’t stripped. So the stripped one is correct? Its looks better imho anyway.

Hi Colin.....powerlite issue still ongoing im in touch with their MD.....Will update when its sorted.....Steve
