Hi wonder if anyone can help me?
Series 2 2+2
I am trying to fit a new tailgate seal, the seal the gate closes onto, but I unsure of how it fits.
This is the part number BD23347, it comes in two sections
Does the "U" shape sit over the lip? the plastic strip that sits inside the aperture I hooked the lip over the edge of the metal lip of the aperture, not even sure this is correct, but if it is does this rubber sit on top of this?
Is it glued in place?
any help much appreciated.

If I have fitted mine correctly it sits inside the channel with the curve pointing outwards, I have stuck mine down but I know other owners who have left it loose to allow easy removal for cleaning.

Hi Kev,
Many thanks for this, I think looking at the seal I would have to glue it to make it hold in place.
thanks

I understood that the seal fits with he curve inwards facing so that water can go down the inside of the 'curve' and escape via the bottom drain hole??

You may be right David but if that is the case then water has to get over the seal to get into the curve, not much of a seal?
