To wrap the 5 speed up
Shimmed the e brake out so it hugs the tunnel not your leg!
Rug on the way
Spacing the e brake handle it doesn’t get hot
Take a look

It makes a huge difference with the leg room!

It could BEFORE this tweek but I want to go in this direction I never liked the original layout unles it was an original show car
Once done I think you wil like it
Now the center stack looks old
The dash is perfect

Okay
I relent…..
So many DEATH threats from life long E Type buddies to suppliers…..
Everything just about fits!
I need to massage an eighth of an inch here and there
But yes it fits….
I was going in another direction THEN
Last nite NORMAN came down and said
“ Joey I supposedly did 150 in that car”
You can do it!!!!
So it will look stock except for the 5 on the shift ball❤️🙏

I have to make the center stack clear comfortable to open the center console!
That’s all that’s left
It’s wonderful

Easiest solution to the centre console is to use a couple of thumbscrews to hold the switch legend rather than screws. Means you can remove the legend and drop the centre console in seconds. Available here: https://shear-loc.com/products/thumbscrews/

You don't have to massage anything. As Heuer has suggested , the easiest way of solving the problem of clearance between let down flap and radio etc housing is to replace the vertical screws which secure the plastic legend strip to the let down flap from underneath with thumbscrews . It is then a matter of about 20 seconds work to unscrew the thumbscrews, remove the legend strip and its backing, thus leaving sufficient clearance for the letdown flap to be lowered without disturbing the radio console ( and it's about 40 seconds to reverse the process )
