#1 Bell housing to 4.2 engine block technical drawing

Post by Rich70 » Fri Oct 21, 2022 8:07 pm

Hi all.

Does anyone have a technical drawing of the bolt pattern that mates the gearbox bell housing to the 4.2 engine block?

I’m hoping someone can save me a few hours of work as I’ll have to split my setup to take the measurements.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Steve,

I would be most grateful if you could do that for me.

I’m not sure if you could place the housing on a scanner or photocopier? If it’s copied in sections I could then stitch the images together, in an ‘actual size’ resolution, and work from the template to build a model in CAD.

Once I have a technical drawing and assured the measurements I’ll post it here for future members.

I will be very interested to get copy of your final drawing. Would be much appreciated thank you.

After that, I would need a drawing of the gearbox to bell housing face, location of the primary shaft and length of the bell housing.
