#1 Steering wheel position

Post by lowact » Mon Oct 24, 2022 2:23 am

For my S3 left to right conversion I reused the upper steering column after rotating the ign key/flasher stalk mechanism. Steering wheel was too far towards the centre of the car. This is not adjustable but with minimal mods I have been able to improve this to just over 26 cm from the A pillar, as per pic. Please, how does this compare to original RHD?

Thanks Danny. Means the center of my steering wheel is 1cm to the left of the center of the instrument panel and the center of the seat (between the front mounts) is a further 2 cm left. Evidently ergonomics was an emerging science ...
