Hi its an S 1 fhc rhd and its a full rebuild with a new loom. I have 2 long wires coming out of the loom just near the b post on the drivers side. They look like they are long enough to be for an interior light near the long can't rail. But I asked the owner and he only remembers the one at the rear. Can you enlighten me . No pun intended.
Thanks

They are probably for the handbrake warning light switch.

I will look at wire colours on Monday. I had it in my mind they could be but I thought that they would have been better coming from the handbrake side loom. I have already run two wires from the handbrake to behind dash but they can be altered .
It seems unusual to me not to have an interior light somewhere at the front.
Thanks

The front interior light is the festoon bulb on the underside of the dash top in the centre

Yes quirky E-type, my rhd fhc also has the wires to the handbrake switch coming from the rhs. Maybe the designer intended to have the rhd handbrake on the rhs but it never got to production that way, you'd think the wiring looms would have been adjusted accordingly.
