#1 Tacho generator

Post by WEBSTER1357 » Sun Jun 02, 2024 7:35 am

The tacho has stopped working on my Series 1. I removed the tacho generator at the rear of the rocker cover and spun it up with a drill and the tacho in the car works. Any ideas whats going on here? Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated.

The movement of the armature may be because the bush is loose.

If it happens again that probably needs addressing.
