Dash top plates

Does anyone know if the dash top plate for a series one is the same as a series 2. The Basic plate assembly without coverings.

Alun, do you mean the long panel that goes across the top of the dash?
My understanding, having a spare early S1 3.8 dash top and an S2 is that the air vents are in different positions on the S1. Certainly the central vent is closer to the windscreen and the central vent nozzle(s) are different size style to the S2.

Why not add your name and car type to your signature (click on your user name top right) then others will know which car to give advice about.

Hi Geoff, thanks for that.

Yes it's the top plate I'm referring to. I've picked up a series 1 project and quite a number of items are missing, one of which is the top dash-plate. My thoughts are if they're the same as a series 2 I may have more chance of picking one up second hand.
