#1 Engine Number Identification

Post by kevh » Sun Jul 20, 2025 6:28 pm

Hi Guys,
I have been offered a fully rebuit 3.8l Jaguar engine which the seller believes to be from an e type but from what I can gather the engine number doesn’t seem correct for an e type. The number on both the block and the head is RA6700-9, can anyone identify what this would have originally been fitted to?
Thanks in advance.
Kev

Clausager suggests that’s an E Type engine from April 1964
