Good morning all, after a great deal of help from people on this forum, I’m getting more confident in tackling problems on my ‘71 series 3, after having a faultless period recently, I had a breakdown yesterday morning, I suspected fuelling issue, whilst on the side of a busy road, I couldn’t hear the fuel pump ticking, I disconnected the fuel return valve, sure enough, no fuel being pumped…… I took the engineers route of fixing things by giving the fuel pump a few whacks….. success!!!
I’m considering rebuilding the pump, but would I be better off getting a new one??? I’m a bit concerned about rebuilding a part that pumps fuel
Fuel pump rebuild???
