Hello Bill, yes your fix should be the way to get there. With a smile on my face  do I drive the car to Oz or just send the relevant parts? Driving in Oz in my E (with air con fitted) could be fun

Thanks as always

Steve, that’s good to hear from Julian. Perhaps he needs to tell QC who had this to say:
“The ball joints are genuine Lemforder/correct to part number and these pass the QC check on arrival with the correct mating part.
This is the only issue of this we have had”

Thanks for taking this up with Julian and that he is willing to respond to you.

Hello Geoff,
It depends on when you received that statement, as to whether the "This is the only issue of this we have had” in particular is true. The following two pictures are just two of many that I sent to SNGB with a very detailed explanation of the issue, on 08/01/2025. The first picture below is of the Blue Banded ball joint unit that is profoundly undersized, and a very loose fit in the stub axle carrier, with a spigot diameter of 42.81mm, compared to the second picture below showing the spigot diameter of the Red Banded unit I've been supplied previously, with a spigot diameter of 43.42mm.

The following is part of the reply I received and typical of when I've brought unfit for purpose parts to SNGB's attention.
Regards,
Bill
