Hi
Done 500 miles over 3 days going to and from Goodwwod.
Always great fun.
However after sitting in a queue Friday morning, let the hand brake off and the light came on. It should be the other way round. Car is a 62/3 FHC.
Everything still seems to work as it should, doesnt seem to of been any fluid lose and topping up (only needed a small amount), didnt make any difference.
Ideas, dodgy switch?
Hand Brake/Brake Fluid Light

Hi,
Do you have the original reservoirs? Repro reservoirs have filters which differ from the originals and can actually push up the sensor in the lid. Alternatively, if you do have originals, they are now several years old and may simply have failed. I believe floats were origianlly cork, is it possible these have simply absorbed so much fluid they no longer float?
Regards,

The reservoirs certainly look very old, so could be the originals. The floats are still up though, so doesnt seem to be that.
Thanks

the problem points to your handbrake switch/wiring. (ie the problem occurred when you moved the handbrake). Having eliminated the easy part of the circuit (ie the reservoirs) I'd be inclined to remove the LH seat and lift up the centre console to have a look at the handbrake switch.
