Guys thanks for all the information. My next task will be to find some time to try and roll the car out of the garage it's in so I can have a closer look and see for definate what kind of condition the body and underneath is in.

It's been sitting on flat tyres for the past few decades so I'll have to see how it goes. Once it's out in the daylight, and I can get the bonnet open properly I'll get some better photos. Once I've done that I suppose I better work out how to get some estimates for the work that will be required......

Hello Sean,

err - almost a year in replying ;-)

Been busy with other stuff but recently returned to the E-Type.....

I am close to Epping and would be interested to find out how you got on with the renovation.

I have managed to move the car and relocate it - I took a few photos when it was out in the open, which I'm going to try and post..
