Folks,
What's everyones' take on making the wipers as good as possible? Up to now , I've just accepted that they're rubbish and used Rain-X repeatedly (especially on longer runs), but just wondered if someone has engineered a good way of making the wipers contact the screen reliably through a full arc?
Am i just being hopeful?

David,
Instead of buying the rubbish blades from the usuals I bought some rubber blades from Halfords that were 13" long from a Mini I think and they worked a lot better than anything else I'd used previously.
It didn't change the arc of the wiper but did wipe a lot more effectively.

Hi Dave,
Was that the complete Mini blade or just the 13" rubbers (which I presume you cut down)?

Just 13" rubber blade refills which I did cut down. It might not solve the whole problem but it goes a good way.david muir wrote:Hi Dave,

You should also swap the blades about occasionally, this seems to help a bit as well.
