Love the casual way he is holding the steering wheel, implying just how much he is in control although I accept it wasnt race speed

Bit topical, since I believe it?s Stuart Hall narrating at the start!?
Note initially the D has no bonnet. The camera is initially perched over the left front wheel cantilevered off the subframe for the three quick clips at 1.59, 3.20 and about 4.45 showing Hawthorn close up from in front. I presume he did a lap or a section with no bonnet.
The rear mount, initially empty then holding the camera is fixed in the boot compartment which has the lid and spare wheel removed. This is because on a D the 6.00 x 16? spare tyre sticks out a few inches beyond the main bodywork, so it would get in the way of a solid fixture.
A big battery pack is put in the passenger seat and the camera moved to the rear mount after the front mount is removed and bonnet refitted. Although not race pace, you can see he?s not hanging about. The D-type speedo is calibrated in 20mph numbered increments and the first number after the 6 o?clock position is 100 mph. He briefly touches 120 at about 1.15 just before braking for the Esses and is around 150+ I think on the Mulsanne Straight. Notice after Indianapolis/Arnage at 4.05 he looks across at something ? maybe the battery pack or handbrake (?) and adjusts something with his right hand crossing over.
When the speedo needle is visible again in the sun he touches 140 at 4.40 and about 130 just before he backs off for the pits.
