Hi,
Funnily enough I too am in the process of importing a 1970 Roadster from the USA. Would love to hear how you got on.
I'm guessing I need to change the headlamps, front indicator lenses and wiring to split side light and indicator and change the rear lenses/wiring to split brake/main light from indicator. Is that right?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi,
Mine is many weeks away yet. Only have deposit down right now.
Who are you using for shipping?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thx

If it helps, I'm using shipmycar.com. They do the whole process, deliver to prot, deal with U.S. Customs, ship in a container, deal with U.K customs, do the mods and register the car with DVLA.

Hi Dave,
I was going to use shipmycar too but I was going to do the conversion myself.
I like working on cars, and thought it'd save me a few quid as well.
I'd be interested to know what they do. I'd reckon there are several ways to do the conversion. Some better than others.
Cheers,
Mark

I don't know the details, other than it's mostly converting the lights. I did ask for stick on front number plate, which they say would be ok.

Have a look in the knowledge base, about three-quarters of the way down in the Technical Information and Documentation section.. A comprehensive set of LHD to RHD conversion documents, which includes things like the headlamps, sidelamps etc.
