#1 Battery conditioner

Post by Garybreadner » Tue Aug 12, 2014 8:41 pm

I'm a new Series 1 owner and since from a previous thread I've discovered that if left for a while it can require quite an effort on the battery to fire up , I was wondering if other owners see a battery conditioner/ trickle charger as a piece of essential kit ...and if so any recommendations .
thanks all . Rgds Gary

I use Ctek but usually only over winter. Works brilliantly and extends your battery life. My SBS40 lasted 14 years and was only killed by a rogue regulator.

Lead acid batteries really hate being over discharged; it does them permanent damage. A trickle charger/conditioner is always a good idea.
