series 3 XJ6 4.2 what bits, if any fit the e-type?

hi guys,
was just wondering as I have the chance of buying a series 3, 1985, xj6 with a sweet running 4.2 engine and gearbox,
I know the xj6 is injection but is the head and block interchangeable with the E-type? and are there any more goodies on the xj6 I could use on my E, or save as spares?
I would like to get spare mechanical bits you see to restore / renovate on the bench then just swap them over one day for the old items,
any info is always appreciated, thank you in advance,
