Hi All, was wondering if anyone has been able to repair successfully, a speedo head with a grinding noise (more so at lower speeds) which also bounces between 20/40 or 30/70 etc. Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers JT

If you have already checked the angle drive at the gearbox, and the cable and that all runs smoothly, then send the instrument to Speedograph Richfield at Nottingham . They will do a first rate job for , usually, ?60 to ?80 . The grinding noise tends to suggest it is the instrument anyway

What is the feedback on Speedy Cables in Wales ? I have the Jag speedo to recalibrate, ditto the Mini Van now on 12 inch wheels, and a Veglia electronic revcounter to repair instead of paying 1000 USD plus for an Unobtainium new one ...... The folk at Speedy say they can do all these, and SR messed me around rotten 30 years ago, but maybe they have improved ? Any recent experiences, I'm all ears, please ?
