Squeaky fornt suspension

It relates to my 420G, but this forum is often better than Jag Lovers, hence my posting now:
All bushes are new since about a year. They are all rubber except the ones holding the anti roll bar to the chasis (the 2 central bushes) which are red poly. After about a year of driving, not more than 1000 miles, I now have squeaks when going over sleeping policemen, or braking hard. It came at one particular instance, rather than gradually. It was front left to start with, but now I can hear it more centrally, perhaps even on the right side.
It appears that both new Metalastics and the poly bushes can create this squeaky noise. I am just hoping that it is the poly bushes, which are far easier to remove and smear with more suitable spray, than the rubber buses on the upper wishbones. A lithium spray is what I have in mind, rather than an oil based product.
Any hints to the source of the squeaks....?

Polybushes - I had exactly the same problem and ended up going back to all rubber. No issues since. It was always worse in warm and dry weather.

The nolothane bushes will squeak if not greased.

Hi Padar.....my advice would be to check out with the poly bush manufacturer, if u can to see what u actually have fitted
(assuming they are marked) they do not all work the same......for instance I have replaced all the rubber on my E for the BLACK poly bushes as supplies by SNG Barratts, these are a direct replacement for the rubber and need no greasing/lubrication....and have never made a squeek...there are other makes that have internal sleeves work totally diferently and require lubrication.. hope this helps

I also have the Polybush kit from SNG. Never heard a squeek in my life. Very pleased with it.

The red bushes definitely need plenty of lubricant. I had to take the IRS out to do the upper shock bushes, but it fixed it, no more squeaks.

The reason polybushes or any other type squeak is if you fit them and then tighten them up without running the car for a few miles with the nuts nipped, once everything has settled then tighten them up with the car sitting on the ground not jacked up.
I've never a squeak out of any of mine and my car has poly all over.

Thanks for all the replies and lessons learnt. I went back to rubber, and there are no noises at all, in any situation. We?ll see how long they last....
