#1 FHC boot board

Post by Quattrofrank » Sun Jun 28, 2015 1:02 pm

How do I remove the rest of the boot floor board? Did fill up the tank last night and realised that the tank was leaking on top of the fuel pump pickup plate so I need to change the gasket.

Strong pull on the ends, give it a whack.

Depends on chassis number. Up to 1E20116/30401 there should be three retaining screws. After that the arrangement is the same as the spare wheel cover - stud on the front edge, spring clip retainer on the rear; so pull up front front leading edge.

Oh the famous Birmingham Screwdriver ;) probably not my tool of choice. A few choice words and a scuffed knuckle would result if I did it probably. Faux pas of the week had to be slicing my finger on the exhaust heat shield whilst cleaning the parents' new MX-5. Now THAT hurt!
