Hi
I have a series 1 bonnet on my series 2 car but dont have the air intake until I decided to purchase one from SNG. However, when receiving this I realize that there is something wrong. When looking at the factory fit post here on the forum the air intake is much smaller where it connects to the bonnet. The one I got was wide. Will take pictures later but this it how it should look
My question is have I gotten the one for the series 2? The part number shows on their website as a replacement for series 1. And second question; where can I get a correct one?

The large one is from the S1 3.8's but also shows in the SPC as being for the 4.2's:

Quattrofrank, the one shown in your picture is rather for S2.
If you still have the one you received, simply check if on your bonnet the holes for the fixing screws match. The aperture in the bonnet is much smaller than the air intake base.

The later style was also used on some late S1 (or 1.25) cars.

Hmm
So if I order on for the s2 I will get the "small" one?
See pictures, If I`m going to use the one ordered it will involve drilling holes but if I use the s2 one I can use the fixings for the air channel in the hood meaning no drilling.

I would be doing some research before drilling anything!

Frank?
Just looked on mine.
The air intake of the S2 will fit without any drilling onto your pictured bonnet.

The small "snail" type intake duct is correct for OTS from 1E1484/1E12580 and FHC 1E21228/1E32632 per Philip Porter's Original Jaguar E-Type
