#1 Wiper Arms

Post by Simon P » Wed Oct 14, 2015 2:10 pm

After 18 months of ownership I finally have a technical question! :D

Having looked at other E-types, my middle wiper looks to sit a shade high when parked. Before I break or bend anything, are the arms simply a push fit on the splines?

Thanks in advance

Yes but there is a small spring clip which holds the arm in position - it sits in a groove. You need a small screwdriver to lift it out of the groove whilst you are pulling on the arm base. Don't lose that clip! They are not available from anyone, you will need to buy a complete new arm.

Simon, if you decide to lose the clip I am upgrading to the stronger spring wiper arms so can sell you a second hand clip at vast cost, or a complete arm for even more ?0.00

Just to say that I did as instructed (managing not to lose the clip in the process!) and now my OCD is satisfied by having all of my wiper blades perfectly in line across the bottom of the screen when at rest.
