#1 Need details regarding accelerator pedal
Gents,
My accelerator pedal is missing the bottom portion - rusted away. I'm told this is pretty common. I see that it should have a hinge on the bottom.
Since I have been bleeding from the wallet and being a handy sort, I am considering repairing the pedal. I have two questions:
1. How long is the pedal, top to hinge pivot?
2. Where does it attach to the inside of the cabin? My floor has been replaced, so I see no sign of where it should connect. A picture of the floor showing the pedal and its attachment point would be very helpful.

You must mean LHD ? as RHD is different.

I've measured my LHD pedal (on a 1966 S1), which luckily is stripped of carpets, seats and carpet underlay felt.
The entire pedal pad is 245mm long (i.e. in height). It's 50mm wide at the top, and 32mm wide at the bottom. The bottom pivot point is approx 10mm up from the bottom edge of the pedal.
The pivot bracket "lands" on a flange / step feature running down the side of the transmission tunnel. So if you've got such a feature you will be able to identify the pedal position.
I measured from the toe-board (the X-swaged panel the brake servo bolts onto) and rearwards to the pedal pivot bolt, and I got 215mm.
The pedal pivot bolt is 35mm above the sound deadening asfalt pad, which is lying in the valley of the floor swages, say the asfalt is 2-3mm thick, so the bolt pivot is around 38mm above the sheet metal of the floor.
If you need close up pictures let me know.

Thank you both for excellent information! The measurements will make it easy to repair and position the pedal.
My transmission tunnel is also new, so no bracket or flange is evident. If you could post a pic of this flange I could probably add it.

Flange is probably a misleading description on my behalf, it's more of a pie shaped forward part of the side of the tunnel, as on the picture. Just to complicate things, my car has the larger (wider) automatic transmission tunnel, not sure how much this changes things that far forwards in the footwell.

David's looks very different from my S2 LHD OTS. Here are some shots...
My attempt at sharing via Google Photos apparently didnt work so switched to Photobucket.



The mounting hole next to the tranny tunnel is within the subframe box so if you dont have a bolt under there now you'll have to do one of those nutsert.

Those links don't work (for me at least).
Aside from the tunnel side sheetmetal being different (good catch!) I wonder if the dimensions of the pivot point match? 215mm rearwards from the sheetmetal of the toeboard and 38mm up from the sheetmetal of the floor depression.
