#1 Cable ties

Post by Simonpfhc » Tue Dec 15, 2015 2:10 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone know the p/n and/or supplier of the black plastic perforated ties that hold the wiring harness and brake pipes to the engine frames?

I've been looking and can't find any info ;-(

Cheers.

You will also find vendors on eBay. Can't remember the specifics but last time I bought it was cheaper on eBay.

Just bought a roll from SNG. It is quite expensive for what you get.

At a wild guess, going by the names of the items and the pictures, I'm wondering if the former is a multi-yard bulk roll of strapping alone, whereas the latter appears to be a small kit of strap and fasteners for half the price?

Nah, couldn't be. What was I thinking? I'll get me coat...

Yeah ok, guilty ;-(

Maybe that one was a bit obvious. Must try harder to find a tougher question ;-)

Cheers.

Do these come in different widths? I bought some strap at a well known (german) Jag parts supplier but the strap width didn't match the originals on my 1970 OTS, the new was to narrow. I sent it back no problem, but am pondering if there are different ones around.

Only ever seen the one width (and thickness), same as original.
