Bonnet numbers

Does anyone know if all series one bonnets carried the body number stamped on the bridge bracket between wing and centre panel? If not when they stopped doing this ?

Hi Andrew,

I dont know when it stoped, but there is no number on my 65 and it is definately an original bonnet.

Hi Andrew,

My 62 FHC has an original bonnet and no number present. Body number 886987.

Ok. That's good. My 62 , 877488 has what I think is original bonnet but no number so seems consistent. Thx chaps and Happy Christmas
