?5 is cheap and promises to be a great day out. I don't frequently go to club events but this one sounds just right.

I'm looking forward to it and thanks for taking the initiative to set up

I have just spoken to Bicester Heritage who are very welcoming indeed and are going to be reserving us a Special Parking area. They would like us to achieve at least 10 cars to reserve our spot. I am sure we can do this. I will be receiving in due course a link to their website where each of us will have to register our car etc for attendance. In fact, there will be a buy one get one free entry, so only ?2.50 per person. Drive it day is very popular with Bicester so we should make an effort to get on and register as soon as possible, not that it will be a problem but I think the earlier we register, the more interest they will have in us. We need a representative of the forum, to be in attendance early and leave latish to organise parking. I guess that will be me, not a problem but if I can have a deputy who may live closer in case I get delayed all the better.

I am very much looking forward to meeting some of you, the more the merrier, so with all this dreadful weather what better way is there of picking us all up to look forward to this great day out in our wonderful E Types in the Spring

We are going to need name badges so we all know who's who ;-)

Sounds good. Will register as soon as you post up.

And a name badge will prove that I cam actually a Jo not a Stephanie  And my other half is called Niki (as in Lauda) but is a man, so people get madly confused with who wears the trousers around here

Great idea, not sure yet whether we could bring both cars but I am sure my son Steve would be up for it if he can drive the S1 all day.
Also Simon 288gto said he wants to come as well.

So thats 3 more in 2 cars.

I am going to move this to the 'Meet & Greet' part of the Forum to stop it being buried under other topics.

Excellent news . Thank you David, although bizarrely I never look on the Meet and Greet! I am sure it's just me though. I guess if visitors to the forum always click the posts since last visit then they should see it if we keep getting attendees. I have one new member and visitor, my good friend Trevor

This from Bicester received today

Thank you for your call yesterday. We would be delighted if the Jaguar E-type Forum would like to register for our April Sunday Scramble on 24th April 2016. As discussed, we expect our Drive It Day Scramble to be popular with over 2,500 people on site with a large club presence. The day will be extended, opening from 9am and closing at 4pm allowing car clubs from afar to arrive and have plenty of time to enjoy all the content that will be on offer.

Registered clubs can benefit from ticket discounts and a reserved parking area, we ask that there is a Club representative that can be the main point of contact prior to the day and present on the day to manage parking. We would expect a minimum of 10 cars for a reserved parking area but would be delighted to welcome many more.
As we discussed, there are various E-type forums on the web, please can you specify your web address and club forum name.

My wife seems very eager to go to Bicester when I told her about the plan. I somehow doubt she has cars in mind though: http://www.bicestervillage.com/

Still it looks like we will be there although one of us may be off on a mission elsewhere!

Hmm - 2 miles apart, a 7 minute drive. Will you be laying on a minibus?
