Unfortunately, Neville fired the car up 5 mins early so I missed the startup, you can see & hear the engine running here:

This has interesting resonances with the Evolution thread. What is to be the fate of this car if it cannot be registered ? Demo runs down a runway etc, or a track day car ?

A very good point, as the original car never raced, the FIA won't grant papers to these ones.

It was never intended to be road legal AFAIK.

I spoke to Neville when I attended the first engine startup at his home. He plans to track day his car and do the odd race. He really wants to put the XJ13 up against a GT40 and see how it fares. One for Clarkson, Hammond & May to organise for their new show maybe?
