#1 Narrow Speakers

Post by ALAN COCHRANE » Mon Apr 04, 2016 6:31 pm

Hi Everyone

I remember a thread a while ago concerning the difficulty in finding shallow depth speakers that would fit into the radio console.
A flyer has come with my latest copy of Classic & Sportscar Mag about this very thing.
It's from a company called Classic Car Stereo and the website is:-

www.classiccarstereo.co.uk

Hopefully this will be a of use to fellow members. No connection to the company by the way.

Cheers

Alan

My speaker recently packed up so had to find a replacement.

The classic radio places always seem to be very expensive.

Pioneer do a range of car speakers which fit the 4.2 radio console - 6.5 inch or 165mm diameter with depth less than 50mm.
Model TS-G17xxi - they call them 17cm but this seems to be with the grille size.

This eBay ad shows dimensions in one picture

Depth is 46mm

Plenty of new ones around although they always seem to be in pairs

Halfords do a 165mm Vibe speaker which are ?10 singly but they don't give the depth.
