Anyone live in the Austin, Texas area with an hour to spare?

Well the ship arrived at Southampton last Sunday and yesterday the cat was let out of the box. Almost as sunny as when it left Houston! Should be delivered tomorrow and get mud on it's tyres for the first time - a new life in the country. :)

Thanks guys and this is the final unload just 6 weeks after agreeing the deal. The people at Kingstown Shipping have done a good job organising all the transport, HMRC clearances and duty and I would recommend them.

It's not totally happy to be back in our climate as it has developed a fast slow puncture but left it's wheel nut spanner in the States.
I'm bonding with it now though. I have hit my head on the wheelarch while straitening up after peering at the engine, done the same with the rear door and cracked my leg on a front overider. Obviously all part of the rite of passage for a new E Type owner.

Bob, so pleased to see you've got your dream car.
As for the wheel nut spanner, have a look at the ones on this thread for the three eared spinner: viewtopic.php?t=657
The ones from Lionel, towards the bottom of the page.
I use one with a long breaker bar and it is great tool and better than using a hammer on the original wheel nut spanner.
Have fun
Geoff

Looking very good Bob. I think that I have an original wheel nut remover lurking in the garage somewhere. I'll pop over soon for an inspect!

Hi Steve
Yes, hope to be at Bicester, but it won't be in an E type I'm afraid. Pity it clashes with Wheelnuts at Stroud though.
Hi Geoff
That wheel nut tool looks just right. Do you have contact details. (The only Lionel I can find on the forum list is Lionelrob - not sure if that is the correct person)
Hi Mark
Glad you don't think I've bought a lemon now you have seen the car and the wheel nut tool worked fine thanks.

Bob, email him at cjservices1931@aol.com
A nice man to deal with, but whether he has any in stock at the moment?
