wow, we have quite a list now. What a great turn out , thanks for all the support, for what was just a whimsical idea to try to meet a few of you folks who have helped each other so much. E type is all fed and watered and looking forward to its little run up the M25 and M40. I will be travelling in convoy with my pal TrevorD who is bringing his 4.2 OTS. I wonder whether we will spot any other E types on the way? I will aim to be there for opening time, 9.00 am to try to help with organisation, but I am sure everyone can sort themselves out. Just look for the designated area for the E TYPE FORUM. Really quite excited!! :D

Hi All....if your not comming in an E then please try to park in the area that will be assigned to the forum so that we are still all together.....not sure if Bicester will have marshals directing non classics to a seperate parking area but at least try......see you there

Did we conclude on the subject of identification?

As my contribution to the day I would be happy to get a bunch of simple pin held name tags from my local stationers and could hand write our forum names over a background of the E type UK Forum logo. I anticipate getting their early and happy to hand them out from my car? :D

It's Jo. And Mr Plum, who is in fact called Niki (his dad was a motor racing fan) can't make it, so to keep me company should disaster strike and I end up calling for recovery, I am bringing a friend called?? Nikki.

excellent news and thanks once again for chipping in. Apart from the prospect of coldish weather I am really looking forward to the day. Now all you chaps with roadsters, this is where you need a FHC or 2+2! Gee whizz, I do hope the old girl is in a good mood and doesn't cause me any problems. I would still like to come up the day before but Mrs H has accepted an invitation for dinner on saturday.

Hope you don't mind - have taken the plunge........ If cold/wet, may have to bring the XJ6, but will try to park with the group - as long as you don't object! Hoping for reasonable weather though - and as one of the closest (Abingdon-Bicester only about 21 miles) I suppose I should turn up!

Quite by chance I went there today as the local JDC club organised a guided tour. The place is fab. Not sure what will be open on the day. There was a building choc full of jags but it was closed!! Who knows...might be open Sunday!

My old E got there with no issues! Survived a 20 min queue going into Aylesbury. Temp needle stayed gloriously put on 70

. Who said old E types boil!!!

Thanks to who ever has volunteered badges. I am aiming to be there for nine so if set up help is needed count me in. Weather looks decidedly chilly but dry for the most part.

Good Morning Julian, it was I that volunteered the badges and would be very appreciative of some help with identifying/distributing as I'm sure not everyone will be reading this thread to know that a name badge will be provided?

As you mentioned it is a most interesting and fascinating venue which I'm certain will become a hub for classic motoring as the BH team develop the potential. A hotel/Restaurant/cafe are apparently in the pipe line and with the famous (by all accounts) shopping mall close by provides a perfect opportunity to be more than just a boys day out...

A shopping mall nearby is not good. I would have my card stolen by a thief than let my wife loose in a shopping mall. At least he would spend less.
