Eagle mirrors

Hi all,
Looking to update my 71 XKE S2 to UK conversion & need new door mounted mirrors that work & are close to or the same as UK spec 70 S2 FHC's.
Std chrome door XKE mirrors are cranked wrongly for UK use, so need to be changed.
The Eagle one's look good but are they ? Who makes them & can they be sourced.
Already have std Tex replacements but hate the black inserts around the mirror glass !
So what's the solution ?

Exclusive to their supplied cars only according to the web site but I will try direct on Monday.

99% sure they are off a series one XJ12. I have a photo will post. Bought mine off E bay

yes this is it held up to the car. the only thing I cannot confirm is whether it provides enough movement to see correctly in the rear view. The photo shows it as fully right so if you cannot see behind from that angle from the drivers seat then you would need a slightly different head. Its a TEX , serial number 775594. I would contact TEX and ask them

if you re really stuck I will try to get someone to hold the mirror for me whilst I sit in the drivers seat.

Thanks Andrew,
I will check them out to see if they give me the rearwards view on the drivers side of my FHC.

Because the XKE door ones are handed by differently bent shanks I cannot keep the originals as I have changed to RHD but I would like to keep the STD all chrome ones if possible.

Steve, I already have a set of C28517 (Tex) to put on which are OK but trying to do better.

Just had it confirmed, these also have the black inserts around the glass.

I have also just spoken to Eagle to see if I can get them direct and have been informed that their mirrors are from SNGB and also have the black inserts

So the search continues for all chrome ones again

You could do what I did. Buy the SNG mirrors which have the correct angle arm then look on eBay for a set of original tex mirrors for a Ford Capri Consul Corsair Cortina MK1 etc swap the heads and sell the leftover to someone who has an old Ford and does not mid the black inserts.

They are out there, it's expencive but the head is correct and the arm looks correct - slightly thicker base ( I got a pair for ?60 ). More to the point you can see behind.
