#1 Ball joint gaiters
Hello, new to the forum. Have just had an mot fail due to upper ball joint gaiter failure. Had this two years ago with the lowers and replaced them with new clear plastic ones. I now can see that these have started to deteriorate already aft just 2 years. They will survive this mot but I don't want to fit rubbish ones again to the top ball joint if they will deteriorate again. Anyone suggest where I can get high quality ones? Can't recall where I got last ones. Could have been sngb?

Thanks. I saw these. I'm assuming you get what you pay for judging by the price. Maybe I bought the £1 ones last time, in which case I advise no one else to do so!

I recently replaced my ball joint gaitere....with the clear/opaque type.....note that tne large end is too big to fit on the wishbone end a circular adaptor ring is needed.....the SNG ones were to stiff to fit...suppose i could have put them in hot water....but i got some softer Jaguar ones from CMC.....they now have a parts department part no is C22970..here is a link to the SNG ones http://www.sngbarratt.com/PartSearchRes ... tno=C22970
Freddie.......take tne opertunity to check that the ball joint actually moves nice and smoothly.....changed my gaiters recently and found grindy movement in tne ball joint.....tf you change them use tbe procedure in tbe manual to get tbe shimming correct

Thanks, just ordered the jag made gaiters from sng (they do a cheap repro version but I suspect that's what I got last time and they have cracked a little already). I didn't know that I also needed something else to fit them - something for the wishbone end? I will see if I can add that to the order. What are they called exactly?
