#1 Delay wipe

Post by john@thepearsons.com » Sat Aug 27, 2016 6:32 am

Hello. I am new to the forum (just found it) but have been an E Type owner for nearly 30 years.

I have a 1962 series one 3.8 coupe and would like to fit a delay wipe. I have only found one company that does this (smart screen) but they are not picking up their phone or answering emails.

Does anyone know anywhere I can get a delay wipe kit - my car is positive earth

Many thanks - John Pearson :wavegreatbritain:

Welcome to the forum John,

E-type owner for 30 years congrats :yellow: , can we see some pics of your car ?

Re: wiper delay, SGB sell a delay pack called Smart Screen for pre 67 cars, not tried it yet so not able to recommend but may be worth checking out as it is non invasive and could be the one that you were looking for?
SmartScreen details here: http://www.sngbarratt.com/ProductDetail ... d6c8e1857e

Hi John

Welcome. The smartscreen SS02 version is for pre 67 cars, the one shown in the link above is post 67 cars.

Google smartscreen and you will find it.

There's a thread on here how others have added intermittent themselves as well.

I have delay wipe on my car. When I say to my wife "Put the wipers on", it's a while before she responds.
