Did anyone else have problems accessing the Forum over the last 48hours?
I couldn't connect(is that the right IT word) either on my own laptop or smartphone and the same with my business laptop this morning.
Everything seems fine now though.

Yep - it was down over the weekend when I tried, as was the etype-uk website so I guess it was a domain/hosting issue or something. I was afraid the new owners had forgotten to renew the domain!
Anyway, glad it's all back now - the best e-type resource on the internet ....

It was a server problem now, hopefully, fixed. If there is ever a problem you can usually find out what the status is on J-L. It started weekend before last but it was fixed on the Sunday. Same symptoms of gradual slowing of response. This time it took a bit longer to fix.

Having to resort to J-L for information on the status of E Type UK is like using a telegraph to inquire why you can't get reception on your smartphone.

Hi
My name is Henry. I have had my s1 fhc for 8 years now. I have up graded brakes & cooling system. I fitted a 5 speed gear box made by E Type Fabs of Darlington about 5 years ago. Straight forward fit nothing to change and is a dream to use.
I use my car most of the time and have done just over 30,000 miles to date. My latest job was to fit stainless bumpers supplied by Harrington Group ( Vietnam). Absolutely first class finish and fit. A few stainless bolts short
they refunded me £20. I obtained the necessary bolts locally for about £1.50 Cheaper than new chrome and probably cheaper than rechroming, definitely easier maintenance ,and I cannot tell the difference from chrome. My original ones are in good order except that the off side rear has flaky chrome on the underside. If any body would like to make an offer I can be contacted at
henryj1035@gmail.com or on 01482814139
