#1 Upper wishbone rear mounting

Post by vern jones » Wed Dec 07, 2016 11:24 pm

Hi all just a quick question concerning the upper wishbone rear mounting and its shims. I have removed the mounting and confusingly it has 4 as well as what looks like the plate that goes behind the nuts. No plate was fitted behind the nuts. | assume it has been fitted incorrectly in the past. Should I fit the plate back behind the nuts but then how do I know if I still have the correct alignment?
Many Thanks

Hi Vern...how you doing.......sounds like it was not reasembled correct as you suggest...the plate is a strengthener behind the frame......i would fit it as it should be.....as per the shims they are for the camber....was the geometry correct before....most would not even know unless the tyres were wearing....put it all back together then get the tracking checked and measure the camber.....to see what shims you need......ideally on assembly you should have the same shims on the front and rear of the wishbone.....you have my number call if you want to discuss...all the best .. Hi Vern,

I think you could have some help with this.
The answer are more important than the questions.
