#1 Hello Forum

Hi there, another new member here - Paul from Bournemouth.

I have a 73 USA import which I intend to restore and upgrade over the next few years. I've had a immaculate genuine 3 series before but this time want to drag something out of the gutter and bring it back to life as a mark of respect to the make. No doubt it will take a while. My personal preference is to create a performance car that looks right but is also updated with decent brakes and possibly a 5 speed gearbox. I'll also be making it RHD and putting in a sunroof which I can understand is not a good idea to the purists.
So here goes, wish me luck.

One question - I have been to my local Jaguar restoration specialist and three times called him over the past 12 months but he hasn't called me back to book the job in. He's visited and seen the car but ........he has been given my number three times and know's I have a restored 633csi BMW and a c/b MGB but......is it me ?
Anyone know anyone who does a great bodywork job as thats the 2010 plan of work. South of Birmingham would be great.
Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the Forum. If that specialist has not returned your calls he sounds as though he should be avoided :?

There are several decent companies around who will not mess you about - Etype UK, Ken Verity, CMC, Alan Proctor, Hutson's and Jim Rothwell. No doubt others here can suggest more.
