After fitting LH/RH mudguards there are 2 splash shields (bd27427 / bd22048) that fill in the space below inbetween the frames.
According to the parts books there are rubber strips attached to each one.
Is it worth fitting these as I can see no real benefit ?

They stop mud splashing up into the engine bay.
