I don't know how well-known these people are; http://www.monocoque-metalworks.com/main/ . I've just come across them, and they have an extremely comprehensive website. Sounds very promising - they do a Series 2 to Series 1 back end conversion kit, a 'hidden subframe' to strengthen the floor and sills (which effectively ties the bottom engine frame member to the rear radius arm location via a length of sturdy steel square section tube).
I have had no dealings with them (yet) but I thought I'd pass it along.

I dealed with Chuck from MM and the parts he sell are absolutely perfect !
He can built what you want.
It's a pity I don't live nearest his workshop...

He seems to have a good reputation in certain quarters. However, I do find the " I'm the only person who does it right, all competitors' parts are rubbish" type of bombast rather tedious ( see e.g.his blog on sills ) and horribly reminiscent of the sort of potentially defamatory knocking of competitors emanating from some fellow who makes gearboxes, also in the US

I've talked with Chuck and any bombast stems from his pride in the product that he makes. I've never heard anyone who had a problem with his panels. I would have to say that Chuck is to panels what Uryk is to frame rails.
