#1 Series1 2+2 rear sear foams

Post by Spark » Sun Apr 02, 2017 8:35 pm

Hi
Can anyone please advise where I can get a replacement set of rear foams for a series 1 2+2. Rear seat set
Or do we have some templates, happy to buy foam and cut if required
Have two rear seats but both foams have disintegrated
Any help please

Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil....try one of the trimmere BAS or Aldridge.....the front seats have foam bases but the rear are springs and padding ....at lease they are on me S2 2+2....dont think you can just get a base for the rear

If mine is anything to go by the S1 2+2's seats are padded by rust, chewed up hessian and mouse droppings.

So true
My base is the same however the springs and frame I have cleaned up and the hessian I have and can replace, it's the foam that has disintegrated, so it's the foam I'm looking for as I don't really want to cut pieces if someone makes a piece

Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil....I didnt think you would find one.....becaus the base has springs if needs to be upholstered.....If your looking to do it yourself get some Dacron wadding.....its like cottan wool made from a nylon type material....any local upholster should have it...or take the seat in and get them to have a look...
