#1 What is this for?

Post by JohnB27 » Sat Apr 15, 2017 5:57 pm

I've been enjoying my recently acquired '66 FHC quite a bit lately. I have it running quite well and it drives very nicely. As I get to know it better I'm coming across occasional items that leave me scratching my head. Most recently, what are these peculiar things in the rear compartment at the top of the rear wheel arch just below the rear window for? They have a large standard screw head recessed into a protruding, um... "thing".

A cool pint of ale to whoever solves this mystery for me.

Looks like it might be the seat belt anchor point.

If you don't have them fitted then I would fit seat belts  . They were an optional extra!!!!How times have changed..

I have lap belts but no shoulder harnesses. I think I'll put those on my to-do list.
